Welcome
If you're visiting this site, you are either a collector of reborn dolls or you are curious as to what a reborn doll is.
Reborning is an unusual art form. The only difference between a fine oil painting and a well done reborn doll is the canvas used.
Reborning is the art of taking an ordinary collectible doll and totally recreating it to not only look, but feel as much like a true baby as possible. The factory paint is removed; any glued on hair or wigs taken off along with the eyelashes; the eyes are removed and the old body discarded. Over the course of several weeks new paint in many layers are applied to achieve a natural skintone. High end realistic eyes are inserted. The hair is rooted two to three strands at a time using a very fine felting needle along with premium grade angora mohair. A new body is put into place and, along with the limbs and head, is weighted and stuffed to achieve a realistic look and feel. The last step in creating a reborn is to pick out the finest boutique clothing so they look their very best! Please feel free to browse through the gallery pages to see some of these unusual and highly collectible dolls. Keep in mind, each doll is a one of a kind. While some of the elements may be duplicated, no two dolls are ever the same.
